- When your jaw is hurting, the only way to relieve the pain is to fix the issue. Some common treatments that can be done at home are as follows:
- Moist warm heat to the sore, painful areas
- Soft diet consisting of easy to chew food
- Exercises with the jaw to loosen it up
- Relaxing your facial muscles to reduce the clenching
- Sleeping on your side reduces the tension your jaw is under
