To Our Valued Patients,

As this newest challenge continues to unfold with COVID-19(Coronavirus), we wanted to give you an update. First, we are currently maintaining our regular schedule. As of now, the Arizona Department of Health Services is not recommending closure or modification. We will continue to closely monitor information from the CDC and AZDHS and follow their recommendations. We will keep you up to date on any changes we may have to make via emails, our website, and social media.

Second, we would like to give you some insight into our practices to keep our team and patient family safe and comfortable. Dentistry is uniquely positioned to protect our team and patients. On a daily basis, we practice ‘Universal Precautions.’ This means we ALWAYS assume that every patient may be carrying a contagious, dangerous disease and we follow strict guidelines to prevent the transmission of any potential disease, including Hepatitis, Tuberculosis, HIV, AND COVID-19(Coronavirus). This has been standard of care and regulated by the Centers for Disease Control since the 1980s with the AIDS

These measures include:
1. Strict hand hygiene protocols.
2. Use of single use disposable protective equipment and barriers.
3. Thorough disinfection of exposed or potentially exposed surfaces after every patient visit.
4. Disinfection and high-heat steam sterilization of instruments. Routine monitoring of sterilization verification.
5. Continual education on infection control techniques.

In addition to these mandated measures, we have also implemented:
1. Disinfection of common area surfaces every 30 minutes.
2. Availability of hand sanitizer in common areas.
3. Screening everyone who enters based on CDC recommendations.
4. Pre-procedural mouth rinse.

We are happy to address any concerns you may have. We will continue to care for our patient family during this time following all best practices and will monitor CDC guidelines for any new recommendations.

Thank you for being a part of our family. Thank you for allowing us to care for you and your family. Please know we are here to support you and help you in any way that we can.

In good health,

Veneers Surprise, AZ

Veneers at Andrew Zeiger, DDSWhen minor dental imperfections are causing your smile to not shine as brightly as it otherwise could, you may be a perfect candidate for dental veneers. Instead of having to hide your smile, or not smile as brightly as you could, dental veneers can be the perfect solution. They are able to cover up minor imperfections, and add to the overall look of your smile. This can boost your confidence, and give you a healthier smile, all with a simple procedure that can be done in just a couple of dental visits!

What Are Dental Veneers?

Dental veneers are incredibly thin sheets of either plastic, or more commonly porcelain, that are placed over the top of your teeth to give them a fresh, new look. They can cover up a wide variety of maladies within your smile, such as:
  • Staining caused by foods, drinks, or smoking
  • Slight chips in your teeth from accidents or normal wear and tear
  • Imperfections in your teeth from cavities or decay that has been corrected and filled
  • Slight cracks in your teeth
  • Receding gums or teeth that are slightly misshapen at the gum line due to gingivitis or gum disease
  • Minor gaps between your teeth
  • Crooked teeth that are noticeable in your smile

When getting dental veneers, your teeth are slightly roughed up to make it to where the sheets of veneer are able to properly adhere to your natural teeth. To start the process, you need a mold made of your mouth for the veneers to be created from.

After the veneers are done being made at the lab that Surprise Smiles Dental uses, you will come back for another visit. This is when the veneers are shaped to make a perfect fit, and adhered to your teeth. Once you and your dentist are sure they are going to fit perfectly, you will get them stuck to your teeth, and any minor imperfections will be smoothed down. All that is left to do from there is to smile, and let the world see how beautiful your new smile is.

Dental veneers are not going to last forever. With proper dental care and regular dental visits, you can expect your veneers to last around ten years before they are going to need to be replaced. If you are rough with your lifestyle, it may be earlier, or if you are super gentle, it may be longer. Regular checks with the professionals at Surprise Smiles Dental will help give you an idea when you are going to need to have them replaced, and the same process will begin all over again.

Bring out the best smile you can muster with the help of dental veneers. They are able to cover up a wide variety of imperfections, and leave you with the type of smile that you are proud to show off. Give Surprise Smiles Dental a call today at (602) 842-4864, and schedule your dental veneer consultation today, to get you the smile you have been dreaming of.
